Beautiful sunset
Thursday
Managed to get myself to the pool at lunchtime for a swim - not quite as busy today as its school holidays at present. Then home for a quick bit of lunch before going out to a friend from church for tea and a chat. They have recently down-sized, moving into an apartment in town from their home in one of the villages, and this was the first time I had visited since their move. They live on the fourth floor, and have lovely big windows in the living room affording a lovely view. It has been a grey, miserable week, but as we sat and chatted, the clouds began to lighten, allowing a bit of weak sunshine through, accenting the colors on the changing leaves. I had to pick up a few things from Carrefour market afterwards, so by the time I got home the sun was getting low in the sky, and about half an hour later this beautiful sky greeted me from the patio.
After dinner we skyped with our daughter Laura - she is trying to find a different apartment in Bucharest. One of her hiking friends has proved to ba a very useful contact and has put her in contact with a good agent who speaks good English and seems to be quickly picking up on the sort of place she is looking for. She had been to see a place after school, which she liked and was in a good location, but unfortunately didn't have a regular oven - just a toaster-oven, so that wasn't going to work, as she likes to cook and bake, so that has now been added to the agents list of must haves!
Thankful today for useful contacts, autumn leaves and beautiful sunsets!
