Red Letter Day?

Morning spent doing chickens and shopping for said chickens, Gunther and the fish! Bought the latter an air tube with lights so they will have an illuminated bubble curtain. Actually I think that was really for me not them! Quick shop in Lidl and of course lots of Christmas food on display which I just couldn't resist! 
I dropped in on Friend and offered her some lunch which she agreed to - so home to make  Pear and Goats cheese on puff pastry. Shame the pear and cheese slid to one end as I carried it up to her - but it slid back nicely! The Angel called in briefly and had some too then the rest of the afternoon was spent once more in the bathroom with friend. She says she will contact the Dr to arrange review of her new meds, but every day she puts it off. I'm trying to persuade her and she reminds me so much of my mum who was so scared her cancer had returned she could not face the dr and more tests. I'm not sure which is worse, to see someone in pain or to see the fear that means they will put themselves through such pain. 
Once she was out of the bath and settled on her sofa with another dose of morphine I left her to sleep and headed home for an alcoholic drink!
