A walk in the woods

Mr J has been off work today so we've had a well deserved family day out. After a quick stop in IKEA to get A his matching bedside table we went to a nearby forest for a walk and a picnic. It was a great place and after some initial problems with the car parking we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The tree top trail was really good. It went much higher than I expected. A kept saying he didn't want to fall down and become squibble (squirrel) food! The view of the trees was lovely and I often forget how beautiful autumn can be.

There were also lots of nice areas for den building and exploring and we came across a set of wooden houses. Me and the kids got inside and Mr J pretended to be the big bad wolf. P and A also made some acorn porridge for the bears.

After an afternoon of fresh air we stopped on the way home for a pub lunch.
