Fabulous people

I wasn't particularly looking forward to this evening as there have been a few "awards" focused on disability that were less than appealing but this was the exception. It was hard to keep a tally of all the money given away but I reckon at least R4 million

The winner in the disability category was a young man, double amputee, who has developed a way to make prosthetic cups for kids who are lower limb amputees within a few hours as opposed to a couple of weeks. The modified blades that are then attached are made using recycled tires at a fraction of the cost of the others currently available but styled in such a way they cater for normal day to day activities.

Just one of many fantastic innovations.
