First Snow

Imagine my surprise when I woke this morning and saw snowflakes tumbling out of the sky!  The weather forecasters tell us it will not last -- it will turn to a cold rain by this afternoon, but it's the official start of the winter weather.

Mabel went bonkers in the white stuff this morning -- she licked a lot of it off the deck, and then zoomed around like a crazy thing, so excited was she by this new outdoor decorating scheme!
