Iconic As It Stands On The Edge Of Loch Ness
Today started with a visit to Urquhart Castle, first built in 1230 and reaching its heyday in the 1500's...now ruined but iconic as it stands on the edge of Loch Ness.
We then went on to Fort Augustus at the southern tip of the Loch where the Caledonian Canal joins the Loch via a series of 5 locks.
The weather has been fabulous with sunshine and stormy clouds, no real rain and not too cold. Back home tomorrow and I hope to catch up with all your journals. Thank you all so much for your recent lovely comments, hearts and stars...I appreciate them all.
