Sun in the Wrong Direction

Popped round the corner to photograph someone’s house for a personalised Xmas card late morning, and found the sun directly over their yardarm (ok roof).  Yesterday afternoon the sun was in the west but still behind the front if you see what  I mean, and it’s not the easiest of properties to get a good shot of so we need some more.  Nipped out when the sun appeared late morning, but it was too late with the sun straight down the lens. This means either getting out earlier in the morning, or trying again later like yesterday.  One thing is for certain – the sun won’t be on the front of their house until next year . . .
 
This shot I took walking back up our street – I like the vanishing point and gives an idea of what it was like facing the other direction.
