Flight out from Dubai was delayed around 11 hours. Excellent. Got into the center of Osaka about 3:30am, and SOMEHOW managed to navigate myself to my capsule hotel (pictured) in about 20 minutes. Capsule hotel verdict: GREAT. Cheap as chips (for Japan) and it's just like sleeping in a tent.

The following night, did some Couchsurfing with a wee Japanese woman, Noko, who owns a tiny little hippy-style bar somewhere in Osaka. We had to work 3 hours in her bar to earn a night's kip in her traditional Ryokan guesthouse. Great experience.
