The Trogon returns

Please, please, PLEASE stay and make your nest here! We're so thrilled to see you back.

Last year - or was it two years ago? - the Trogon tried hard to establish himself in this tree, but he was competing with the termites, who were still in occupancy and building faster than he was able to excavate. We should have treated the nest or, more probably, drastically cut back the tree, but now I'm glad we didn't. I just hope he'll be more successful this time.
