Hummingbird

Well it actually RAINED today! it has been months since wet stuff fell from the sky around here but this afternoon it rained, and rained, and is still raining a little. So after we had all finished yelling and hopping about and running in and out of the rain to feel it (yes rain really is that exciting here sometimes..) I took picture after picture of the rain...rainy driveway, rainy skies, rain drops falling in the bird bath - you name it, if it was out there in the wet I took a picture of it.......got to blip the exciting rain right?

But then I thought, really rain is not that exciting unless you live somewhere where you desperately need rain and it hasn't rained. In fact to most people who don't live in the Texan desert, rain is rather drab and boring...

..so instead of one of my many rainy shots I decided to blip this little guy who was out on the Flame Acanthus this morning, before the rain came. He visits this plant several times a day - or perhaps he has friends who knows?

It's not very often my camera and I can keep up with one enough to get a decent shot so this was definitely a keeper.
