His name is Mick

His name is Mick and he is a White Faced Owl from Africa. He is no more than a foot high and during a demonstration at The Cotswold Falconry Centre he just flew in and sat beside me. Wonderful opportunity. The demonstration was an hour long and we saw a huge European Eagle Owl gliding across the meadow and two other birds of prey being put through their paces.. A very good commentary accompanied. There were very many birds of prey on show.
A substantial pub lunch was followed by a wander round the lanes, looking for a farm shop to get in supplies before going home tomorrow.
