It's all coming together.......................
It's all coming together..............
…...............Our move to Edinburgh that is.......................
Ann now has a job – 'Event hospitality team member at various prestigious locations around Edinburgh'. Mmmmmm.................. they lure one in with the promise of working at such events as 'One Direction' concerts & 'Rugby International Matches' non of which interest Ann but hey ho it's a job and in theory one can pick and choose when one works so that's got to be good. And at least now Ann will be able to afford to keep me in all the treats that I have become accustomed to.
She also had another phone call today asking her to go for an interview tomorrow for 'Brand Ambassador'. Don't even ask what Ann would call the job?! Why do people feel the need to create fancy titles for the most basic of jobs? Tomorrow??? Apart from the fact that we will not be in Edinburgh until Monday (which Ann stated in her application) how many people can drop everything at a moments notice to go for an interview. People do have lives. And this is for a 15hr a week job for one month??? Anyway, 'man with a very lovely voice', said if they didn't find what they were looking for tomorrow, someone would be in touch to set up an interview for next week but in the meantime he had to ask a few interview questions, one of which was – 'What is your favourite meal to prepare, cook and eat?' No this wasn't an interview for Blind Date!!! Ann must have given the correct answer because 'man with a lovely voice' said, 'That sounds yummy' Ann wondered about inviting him for dinner but he was phoning from the head office in the south of England and then he didn't bother asking her any more questions. Instead he said, 'You'll probably get a call in the next couple of days to schedule an interview next week. Yay!
And while we're on the subject of stupid, stupid, interview procedures Ann also tried to apply for a temporary 10 hr a week job at a 'well known supermarket'. Spent at least an hour completing the online application form (including the online questionnaire) and as soon as she'd submitted it she got a message saying, 'You have not met the criteria in our screening process.' Obviously shouldn't have offered to clean up the spilt yogurt on the floor then? That's probably not in accordance with their H&S procedures.
Anyway we are slowly getting our lovely house in St Ives all organised for renting out to holiday makers while we are in Edinburgh. It's gone live on the 'Airbnb' website and we're now waiting for the bookings to come rolling in. If any of you lovely Blippers want to book it before Christmas we will give you a 20% discount. And your furry friends can stay for free.
Check it out here.
…...............And todays Blip is of me having a good old wallow. I love pretending that I am a hippo!!!
Happy Tuesday night peeps. xx
