Revisiting

Today's outing was a route that Mr KT and I tackled 13 years a go, and was our first via ferrata experience. Revisiting today with the teenager in tow. Neither of us remembered anything about the route - apart from the Albergo at the top of the mountain where we had coffee!
It proved to be interesting - especially as it was closed (but we ignored that fact, sort of by mistake). It was quite a fragile gorge with lots of landslips so the via ferrata sections were being remade or secured. We met the 2 workers on our way up - they were a bit surprised to see us but let us through 'at our own risk'.
On emerging at the top of the gorge , past various waterfalls, we walked through a beautiful sunlit wood and then out to the road. Sadly the albergo was closed - end of season- so no coffee but a picnic in the sunshine instead.
