Down in the Forest.

Something stirred; it was the P7 class from the primary school.
 
The park ranger and his new young lady assistant were trying to teach them field craft (though the phrase, “herding cats” seemed to be a more appropriate description the rangers’ activities) so the kids were trying to make fires, using wet wood, and building shelters, though I’m sure they would have called them “dens”. Our first siting of them had been while they were collecting soggy leafs, presumably to make waterproof roofs for their shelters. We didn’t stay long enough to see how successful they were with either project but assume that the evidence will still be there tomorrow. We can cope with the suspense until then.
