Angel

They were often called "Heck's Angels". They were an evangelistic Christian chapter of the Hell's Angels. The idea was that they rode with the Angels and maybe brought one or two of them over to the Lord's ways. And it was true that they had done a lot of good. Saved a few souls even. He tipped back the bourbon and coughed as it went down. He had to fight to get his bike back onto a straight line. But, just as they drew the Angels towards the righteous path, so inevitably, they sometimes found themselves walking a little ways with the Devil. He shivered. He was still coming down off the last hit. Yes, they had done a lot of good and some bad. And you had to look at the balance at the end of the day. And when the end of all days came and his soul was weighed in the final balance, he had always been pretty sure that the scale would come down the right way.
