small fly

After doing some fairly strenuous jobs in the garden (which included re-laying) some small paving slabs) I sat on the bench with the camera for a few minutes in the sun. There are still a few flowers on the plant by the bench and my first pics were of them but then this little fly appeared.
This evening's run turned into quite an adventure. First a narrow path above the river with trees, rocks and slippery planks to be avoided, then a track through woods where 2 of us got left behind and weren't sure where to go. Then through muddy tracks and fields before finally getting back to a road and cycle path - a bit more than the promised 10k but good fun.
