A Fixture on the Trail

My husband told me there is a Great Blue Heron that he finds sitting in the same spot every time he goes to the C&O Canal towpath for a run.  Sure enough, I went to look for him today, and there he was on the other side of the water.  He is obviously very comfortable with people. I guess he knows the canal provides protection from humans.
