A visit to Slindon

First real day of half term today and Charlii, Arran, Ethan, Cleo, Willow Rosie and I went to Slindon (near Arundel) To see the annual pumpkin display.
The late Ralph Upton started creating mirals with the pumpkins he grew in 1968. Today the barns adjoining his former home in Top Road Slindon give a wonderful display of the  80 + species of pumpkin and squash available from September to November (peeking at Halloween).
Pumpkins come in a wide range of shapes and colours and these are skillfully displayed to great effect in the annual mural created by the team. This year to support Sussex Wildlife Trust the theme is 'Birds and Bees' and as you can see from my blip it was super brilliant, and well worth a visit.
