A walk in the forest

We MacFreuchie girls were very grateful for the lovely sunshine today as the house clearance guys did a grand job of finally emptying The House. I think we all breathed a sigh of relief to have reached this stage after nearly four months.

In the afternoon we headed down to the loch to walk Minty, choosing the forest at Cashel rather than the lochside walk, so that we could pay our respects to the girls' dad.

This path is appropriately called Memorial Way. At a viewpoint further along we came across a cairn in memory of Donald Dewar, Scotland's first ever First Minister. The forest, with its gorgeous autumn colours, has such a beautiful setting right beside Loch Lomond - see extras.
