Goodbye to an Old Friend

Yes...sadly the time has come to say goodbye to an old friend.  We’ve been together for a good few years now, and we have become very attached to each other.  We have visited many different and interesting places.  We have experienced many different terrains, along canals, up hills, through mud, rain, and frost.   Many of these happy days have been shared with the special people in my life and have invariably included lots of tea, cake, conversations and lots of laughter.
So, it’s with great sadness that I have had to throw away my walking boots.  Sadly they are no longer waterproof and have developed some holes (which has resulted in a few instances of soggy socks!).  But I’m now the proud owner of a brand new pair of boots. So, the adventures begin again... who knows what adventures we’ll have together over the next few years?
