Over Yonder

I said WAKE UP!

My Dear Fellow,

A little repetitive I suppose, but on the other hand it struck me as funny to have two consecutive pictures of Punky waking me up. It's also a good indication of how often he does this.

We didn't stay too late at A&L's. Sadly, they were kept busy being sociable so we didn't see very much of them and the party was full of young people being young. Even A noticed it. "Ah, all these young people, smelling of hormones," he said. Meanwhile, another of our friends had a disturbing experience in the spare bedroom when she went to get her coat. "There's a ring of girls in there looking at Tinder and talking about men's things*", she said.

I felt very middle-aged. And please feel free to pronounce it "ag-ed".

So anyway, today I awoke pretty early and watched "The Creature from the Black Lagoon" and "The Pit & The Pendulum" because hey, it is nearly Halloween. But this also meant I needed a nap in the early afternoon to recoup some of that sleep. So here is Punky, reminding me that early afternoon is when he expects to receive his Early Afternoon Snack.

And, needless to say, he was also the one who woke me up early for his breakfast. Yet, Er Indoors is left to sleep undisturbed. I'm not sure if I should be flattered or not.

El P.

* I have censored this. But "things" was not the word they used.
