Practice Baby

This is our practice baby, so to speak. Our friend B&S had this lovely little girl in June so we are getting to see their ups and downs, etc. as they navigate the road that lies just ahead of us. Tonight we went over to their place and had a very casual picnic down by the lake. They seem very content with her. But later, when the witching hour began, she actually screamed worse every time I tried to hold her and console her. That's not a good sign! But, Mr. Apple said he actually didn't find the screaming to be too bad - perhaps that's because he wasn't holding her next to his ear at the time.
