Flat land
My sister and brother-in-law met us at the ferry and we spent a lovely day together in Dagebüll, walking on the dike (extra), eating waffles/ pancakes and delicious fish.
The train tracks take little motor trams to the Hallig Oland (its "warft" - house/houses are visible in the distance). A warft is an artificial bit of land built higher to protect the houses from the sea, surrounded by a dike. A Hallig is different to an island as its land is below sea level. I think they only exist in the German North Sea.
I am behind comments but will catch up once we are home.
