A Grand Day Out!

This is Ray, he is 86 years old and is my Mum's partner and today we found Brynderwen Wharf, near Abermule in Montgomeryshire, Wales, which is where his father was born in 1863.

Ray has been looking for this momentous location for a long, long time without any luck, but now that he has a copy of his father's birth certificate, and with the aid of Google Maps we finally located the spot.

The next question to answer is what on earth his Grandfather, who Ray believed lived in Coventry for all of his life, was doing in Wales in 1863, apart from the obvious!
