Colour

I loved this splash of colour of dried peppers I spotted in a grey refugee concrete shell house we visited today. This family loved the story of the prodigal son today and really got into it, the mum doing a running commentary as I read!

Is been quite an emotional day. A teary peshmerga came to say goodbye before he left for the fighting. Another one's children hung out with us for a while. The daughter, L's friend, chatted about how many pesh have been killed and injured where her dad is fighting and how worried they were when he didn't answer his phone. It all feels so horribly real and close and I hate our friends going through this.
