Autumn hues

Delighted to see that there is still some colour left in the garden.  It’s the time of the year when the grass is still growing, the evenings are developing a distinctly chilly air, and the temperatures dropping right back at night.
Yet here is the evidence that the geraniums are still sporting plenty of colour and of course a touch of vivid autumn foliage  adds a fresh warming dimension before the last of the summer disappears for a while.
I have to admit that I do not spend the time I should in the garden this time of year, and just this afternoon when I made a trip to the nearby household refuse disposal centre with leaves and grass cuttings, I was tempted to ask a fellow gardener to do a swap.
The potted plants he was discarding into the skips were much better than those still in my own hanging baskets.

But I’ll take visual pleasure from this little corner, at least!
