Our last full day in Poland.
Last night was very clear and the stars were so bright, so it was not a surprise that there was a heavy frost this morning. However, once again we were pleased to see blue sky and sunshine. We rose in time to get to breakfast just after 8 (earlier than most days!) and then set off through the town so that we could travel on the train that would transport us quickly to Zakopane Gubalówka. This takes only a few minutes and then we found ourselves high above the town with breathtaking views of the mountain range and the town far below us. As we began to walk around it soon became apparent that what we had thought was a small area was actually huge. We walked for several miles and enjoyed the views and came across even more of the little souvenir stalls, by now though I think we have seen just about every type of souvenir that there is! As it approached lunchtime we tried another new thing, not sure what it is called but it is a potato that has been peeled and put into a spiral on a stick. It is then deep fried for a few minutes, add a little salt and it is delicious! After several hours we made our way back to the train, returned to the town and walked back to our hotel.
