Autumn colours

The colours were wonderful at the Wolseley Centre, near Rugeley, today.

I sat in the bird hide for a while, hoping that a bird would come to feed, as behind the feeders there was the most delightful display of reds, yellows and green leaves.

Nothing arrived. I wasn't being greedy. I hadn't expected the kingfisher to arrive, nor one of the tree creepers. Nothing for ages.

Then a couple of great tits arrived, and then this adorable little blue tit.

Later I did see the kingfisher fly past - and then another one flew past. A new pair - very positive signs for the future.
