Buzzard in the sun

This afternoon I went for a walk along the canal. There were quite a lot of birds around but I didn't get many decent shots of them. 

I saw a heron then a flock of winter thrushes (they all saw me before I saw them). A flock of long tailed tits (in deep shadow, back view or twig in front of the face) then a great sighting of a kingfisher whizzing up the canal (shot of it's back).

I was glad that this buzzard was obliging!
