Old Fashioned Air Con'

Ok, air con' might be stretching the description a little here but cooling was a very important and expensive part of the beer (pilsner) brewing process. So a large power station is required, so Carlsberg built their own. This is it. I've not been inside but there's some monster sized machinery in there. I have a bad feeling that "the developers" will be changing the character of this building and not for the better - you can already see the new brick that was added two years ago, replacing a magnificent set of old doors.

I'm not a fan of reverse vignette but it's no worse than is already being done to this and many other parts of the old brewery.  ......but we do have two new supermarkets next door now.
