Ein Männlein steht im Walde
Whenever I see a fly agaric the famous German Kinderlied (children's song) "Ein Männlein steht im Walde" forms in my head - to become an earworm. You may know it if you hear it...
Too bad the song was describing the rosehip! The author had to solve the riddle by adding a verse.
I took the bicycle out today! It was a little chilly, but ok. And finding the little man and his friends was worth it.
English translation: A little man stands in the forest
A little man stands in the forest completely still and quiet.
He wears a little, pure purple cloak.
Say! Who can that little man be
Who stands there alone in the forest
With the little crimson cloak?
