Hilperton Marina (Sunday 16th October 2016)
Marinas are blipper Heaven with an absolute guarantee of colour, shapes and wildlife. The ones nearest to me are closed off to the public and guarded by security people for reasons I don't understand since the same boats can be seen close up when they are on the waterways.
Last weekend I kept a promise to myself to continue my towpath walk in sections to Hilperton Wharf and Hilperton Marina, which luckily is fully accessible to all comers. The people on the boats are always open, friendly and ready for a chat, and this day was no exception.

Kate Rusby - Hunter Moon (2016)
It was the night of the Hunter's Moon, looking huge in the sky as I drove home later in the evening.
