Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.
I had seen this railway featured on a TV program recently and thought it worth a visit while we where in the area. Hurricane pulled us and 15 coaches back to Hythe with the greatest of ease.
Off the ferry at 4-30am and a short drive down the coast to try and get a few hours sleep before the first train.
Mightily impressed with the engines and railway. It's a 14 mile run down to Dungeness through some indifferent coastal settlements. Dungeness is an intriguing place with it's massive shingle beach, 2 nuclear power stations and houses some old and held together by rusting nails and some very smart designer homes.
