Big Family

I woke up balancing on the very edge of the bed this morning after Boy had spent the very early hours of the day slowly waking me and trying to boot me out of my bed. As is usual when leaving the house when the little ones are up it took longer meaning I just managed to get on my required train.

Just the start to the day you need when going to London today to work meet some nice people for a certain time. A couple of hours later I was at Waterloo meeting some colleagues. Whilst some of us we waited for some others we saw Philip Glenister coming down the steps and off down the road.

We walked to and from Waterloo to our destination about 40 minutes away, taking in the South Bank along the way. I always like to walk or bus in London as you simply miss so much on the tube. The meeting was very interesting and insightful even if the topic was data based. On the way back I just as I was saying how it was strange not to see any smiley Olympic volunteers about the place a small group of them appeared being as chatty as ever. It was nice to see them as I was missing them. I told them they did a wonderful job, took a picture and went on my way, back to the train and back to home, where two Monday worn out little ones were there to run down the street in to my arms.

This sweetness almost made up for the dramatics they put us through at bed and bath time, the highlight of which was Boy pouring a big full jug of water onto the bathroom floor.
