Building Bridges

Hopefully, we can build bridges, but we also have to draw lines. - Fred Thompson

The new Forth Road Bridge takes shape......the big brown things are caissons...these will be sunk, another welded on top,sunk then more till sitting on solid bedrock then filled with concrete...these will be the foundations for the legs of the bridge.

Quite a day today. Now One terminal has re-opened, the other closes for essential maintence. New hooks for securing the Tankers, new escape ladders everywhere and new lifeboats coming. All of this whilst flushing a 48" pipeline with seawater that carried crude for 40 years till its clean so work can be done on it.

The weather was gorgeous, then thunder...the rain came....and went...then this evening, I'm sitting out having a laugh and catching up on everyone's day in the sunshine.....fab !!! Great way to chill !! ;0)

Younger G had a great day and already passed 3 assessments, Handsome Boy is well impressed with his new teacher who has a playstation, a Wii, nintendo DS's and an Xbox in class. I'm now wondering whats going to be taught!! Maybe I should go to school and check that all out......just to be sure !!!!! ;0)
