Portobello Promenade
A busy day; after their week in Devon with their Grandma, they were suitably refreshed and raring to get onto the Cigs trail. So we were out early to Portobello for a rummage around. And successful it was too. We've got 5 more still to blip after today; a veritable glut. I took some shots and sent the contact sheets in for the artistic director to have a look and devise a shooting schedule and then off we went to play Minecraft. Oh, and I was told to go and book an appointment with Specsavers.
The afternoon was Scottish Cup action in Linlithgow; the mighty Rose were playing host to the Binos; Round 2; away to non league opposition? What could possibly go wrong? Well as it turned out, nothing. The highlight was a Linlithgow clearance getting hoofed high and out into touch; it clattered the terracing roof once and bounced out straight in front of a 45 bus heading for Bathgate; causing the driver to slam the brakes on at the unexpected UFO, followed by a loud bang as the ball was burst.... Still, a 3-0 win, a decent steak pie and a social afternoon catching up with old acquaintances? Nice.
(Extra is an alternative take of the one from earlier in the week)
