Day 296 Eastleigh Cemetery at Sunset

Such a peaceful scene with the sun shining low through the trees and a slight mist rising.

Today was spent helping friends move home.  The people they'd bought the house from had clearly lost heart and merely packed the van and moved out, with their 12 dogs.  The house was really dirty so I spent the day scrubbing the kitchen so that they could at least feed themselves.
Light relief was provided by a mission to feed lunch to all the folk driving  between the two homes and physically moving boxes etc.  Sue and I decided to buy bread and make sandwiches. It was delight to see the sandwiches being devoured.  It brought back memories of feeding hordes of hungry children.

Towards the end of the day I needed a break from scrubbing the oven and the pervasive smell of dog, so I went for a walk down the road to the cemetery and was soothed by the peace and quiet.

Now i have a sense of achievement, a new place to explore and a crying need for a shower.
