Pancake Moon

It is infact a last quarter moon to give it its proper name, but it does look like a folded over pancake!  As I was getting in my car just after 7.30am this morning to go on a schedule call, it was daylight, and as I looked up the moon was still half visible, sunrise having just gone.

I snapped on my long zoom lens and took a few photo's. It's always nice to have a possible blip photo on the SD card incase nothing else materialises. I did grab some others, but it's been a hectic day workwise, and I like this best.

At 5.30pm, I sat down to watch the Nottingham Forest v Cardiff City match that was televised on Sky, only to be called out 20 minutes from the end when Cardiff wee winning 0-2. I listened to the nail biting finish for a welcome 1-2 away win.

When I was called out this evening, I was asked to work tonight. The sky looks to be clear so nice to be out and getting paid!  I'll be keeping an eye on those stars which are out.
