Calm, compassionate , caring

Hectic day today, started work early to get some things done then at 11 left to take Grandma to appointment with consultant. She has been hallucinating very badly and very down. He said that she needs to go on antipsychotic medication and anti depressants. I knew this stage would come but it was so hard as she had to be honest about how she felt and it was upsetting for her and me to hear. She is so scared by what she is seeing but cant rationalise it most the time. The consultant is just one of the kindest professionals I have met.

I think she was relieved really though, we called into a cafe on the way back for her to have a cuppa and some lunch and we had a chat about it all.

I went back to work at home while she had a sleep. The social worker also came late afternoon and was also lovely. He has adjusted her care plan too.
