Tyne Valley looking south east

We had some spells of sunshine this afternoon between the lengthy showers of torrential rain.  I headed out briefly this afternoon to Hexham and took a quick detour to photograph the valley bathed in sunshine with the rain clouds threatening.  This evening I have made our Christmas cake and it's lovely aroma is drifting through the house.  I wish you could smell it too!
