Dent

On the way home from Yorkshire we stopped off at a very picturesque village called Dent for a circular walk.  We walked through some lovely woods before emerging into fields with fine views of the fells.  Unfortunately however there were some dog unfriendly stiles.   Misty was able to get under a gap in the fence for some of them but then we came across one where there was no gap and no gate.  She does not like being carried and lies down and after a while I did somehow manage to get her dead weight over in a very undignified fashion!.  The next stile was awful but I got her through but had to give up on the next one, sigh......  a farmer who'd just been rounding his sheep up said we could go down his drive onto the road.

We've had a wonderful time in Yorkshire and met lots of very friendly people out on our walks.  Its amazing how many people want to stop and stroke Misty and chat :)  She now expects everybody we meet to make a fuss of her :)
