Orchid

This lovely orchid was given to us by a friend, and is an amazing houseplant in that in 'lives' the spare room and has survived several years of neglect. It's a case of out of sight, out of mind, so it's watered very infrequently but doesn't seem to mind, as it's flowered several times for weeks on end.

The weeks seem to be flying by at the minute - can't believe it's Friday already. Having said that, glad the weekend is here. But, please,  nobody mention the words 'extractor fan', or I shall disappear in to a darkened room for the duration - don't even ask, Blip friends!

Our newly covered sofas were delivered today, and duly exchanged for the loan sofas. MrM and I have decided that we need to acquire lots of brightly covered cushions to hide enhance the new fabric, which doesn't look nearly as nice quite the same on a sofa as it did on a small fabric sample! Hmmm - maybe we'll grow to love it!

First coat of eggshell on the bathroom skirting boards this evening...
