La parrocchia di S. Gennaro
Our friend Sergio took us on a tour of some of the Amalfi coast.
A spectacular drive past towns such as Positano (impossible to park) and Praiano, also part of the UNESCO heritage site.
This view of the parish church of Saint Gennaro in Praiano is augmented by an Extra, showing the impressive, tiled dome.
The photos were grabbed through an open window as we hurtled past.
After a stroll around Amalfi we enjoyed a picnic lunch near the beach.
Sergio is the Commercial Director of a dairy so we dined on freshly made mozzarella di bulfala, ricotta, prosciutto, bread and beer.
Then we cut inland to Ravello in the mountains, where the last Extra is of light filtering through the ancient cloister pillars in the 13th century Moorish style Villa Rufolo.
I'm sorry I can't offer you more of the hundreds of photographs taken during the day but I will end on another hastily snatched photo of what surely must be a Blipper poised on a wall high above Sorrento.
