Burrell Collection

this wonderful and much loved Glasgow Museum in its fabulous setting will be closed for 4 years!!!!!!  from tomorrow at 5pm for a new roof and much other restoration
water ingress has threatened the fabulous treasures especially tapestries pictures furniture etc  for years but it seems ridiculous to close for so long it was only built about 1980 I think....  why oh why did they make a glass roof in our wet climate here
some treasures will be lent around UK and Europe but at least for us there will be showings in Kelvingrove and much will be taken to Nitshill museum store which can be visited by arrangement
