Caught With Stone in Mouth . . .

The mystery of the Hedgehog Hoard has been solved.
 
Last night the trail cam picked up the culprit.   The cheeky little field mouse has been covering the food with stones from the gravel, and twigs and leaves, to keep it for him/her self.
 
Sorry the image is a bit rough (to say the least) but I had to grab a frame from the trail cam.

Earlier in the night (before midnight, about 21.30) the little fellow spent some time covering the left hand bowl, but not with the zest he/she put into the right hand bowl just before dawn.
