Zzyzx

So we set off on a road trip today down into California and ending in Palm Springs. Our timeshare apartment is lovely so very happy with our home for the next week. The journey was through very BIG country and I had a bit of a panic as my 12 year old SatNav suggested that some of our route was on unpaved roads. They are all paved now!!! We passed this sign on the way and did a bit of a google - of Zzyzx which used to be called Soda Springs! Years ago when I did some flying in the Mojave desert in my hercs I used to see this place marked on the map! Bonkers name! Oh well it is rather hot in the low 30s so we are off to the pool and probably grabbing a pizza later!
