Having Lunch - Plus a Derelict Sunday Extra!
Seated at his usual table in his usual restaurant. Peanuts are what's on the menu. And it's Friday - so here's my very irregular Squirrel blip! There was a second one who couldn't get a seat at this table because this one wasn't being very nice about it.
And the extra is a rather spectacular Hallowe'en display that has appeared in the little town of Free Union, Virginia - which is where I live. Well, I live two miles down the road. But anyway, the town consists of a doctor's office, a post office, a small "convenience" store, what used to be but is no longer a garage, a small private elementary school, and three or four houses, depending on how you count and how far out you draw your circle. And a couple of churches. In fact we are told that the name "Free Union" came originally from "a free union of churches" somehow. The house that is in the extra isn't lived in - looks quite derelict - but then again, has been a bit fixed up not too long ago (note the skylight in the roof). The Husband - whom I just asked - says some guy who is some kind of decorator or something rents it, he thinks, but doesn't know what for. He isn't sure who actually owns it. And before the current renter, another person rented it and used it as a "studio." But anyway, whatever's going on there, I like the decorating for Hallowe'en effort.
