Ducks
Mainly teal and wigeon in a mass take-off. Paid a visit to the RSPB reserve at the Loch of Strathbeg. It's best known for its winter population of pinkfoot geese, but they were away feeding in the fields. There are always other waterfowl about, but I've never seen anything like the numbers there today. There must have been many thousands of ducks, and at least 200 whooper swans.
