Lumpy ground
These are tombs from the Silla dynasty that ruled most of Korea in the 7th-9th Centuries. They are in Gyeongju in the south east. The city has so much history all around. There are tombs all over the town.
The tomb has a wooden structure that the body and various items that fit the status of the person are put into. Then rocks are piled up on top to make the dome shape and the rocks are covered with earth.
There was an earthquake near Gyeongju last month, the strongest ever in South Korea at 5.4. It doesn't seem to have had any lasting impact in the city. I didn't see any sign of damage.
