Well earned refreshment

It had to be an early morning walk before the sun got too hot. By the time we finished at 12.30 it was into the thirties. The open views were magnificent but the cool drink in the bar in Fillols was the highlight. It is one of those bars without which a village would lose its heart and soul. It is almost always open summer and winter, village children play outside while their parents enjoy their coffee, the newspaper and a few essentials are on sale as well as simple meals and the radio in the background plays the local Catalan station.
